Lightsaber Guide

BLUE

Blue is the most common lightsaber color for Jedi. The blue color is given to those who put most of there focus to their fighting/lightsaber abilities.

GREEN

The green blade color is given only to Jedi (typically Jedi Masters) that focus more on the force than their lightsaber skills.

PURPLE

Only those who have learned both the Jedi and Sith ways will receive a purple lightsaber blade, which is why it is a more rare color.

RED

Many think that if you are a Sith, then you will always have a red lightsaber. This, however, is not the case, as Sith get their red color by making the cyber crystal "bleed" with the force.

YELLOW

The yellow lightsaber color was only used by Jedi temple guards. Not much other information is known about this color.

ORANGE

Only those who have learned both the Jedi and Sith ways will receive a purple lightsaber blade, which is why it is a more rare color.

INDIGO

Indigo is only another variant of blue, which is given to those who put most of there focus to their fighting/lightsaber abilities.

LIME

Not much knowledge is known about the lime lightsaber color, as it was only wielded by Ahsoka Tano during the Clone Wars. It can be inferred that only Jedi apprentices and younglings carry this color.

CYAN

The cyan blade color is used by Jedi in training. It is one of the few colors that only training sabers appear as.

MAGENTA

Only those who have learned both the Jedi and Sith ways will receive a magenta (just another shade of the purple blade) lightsaber, which is why it is a very rare color.

BROWN

Brown, or bronze, is a very rare color of lightsabers that are only used by the most powerful Jedi.

WHITE

The white lightsaber, similar to the red, cannot be obtained naturally. It is only created by reversing the process (force healing) a bleeding crystal.

BLACK

Black lightsabers, or darksabers, were once wielded by the Mandalorian rulers and passed on through the generations.
